Micronesian Institute for Research and Development (MIRAD). 

MIRAD is a non-profit organisation which undertakes rigorous 

inter- disciplinary academic research, climate change adaptation
 
training, and development activities in relation to the 

Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), and the wider

Micronesian region. MIRAD is situated in the indigenous
 
community of Palikir, Pohnpei-- a stone's throw to the heart of

the nation’s capital, and five minutes to the College of Micronesia.
 
MIRAD thrives on matters of community, state, and national
 
concerns, and yet is well connected to the globalised world. Its
 
members consist of academics, professionals, and indigenous
 
experts. MIRAD’s success flourishes because of the collective
 
knowledge, skills, and experiences of its members. Together
 
we strive to provide the best possible outcomes for our clients
 
seeking to improve their knowledge and understanding of the
